The Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program is an NIH Roadmap initiative. Through this program, grantee institutions across the US will create a definable academic home for the discipline of clinical and translational science. A major goal of the CTSA initiative is to develop a national consortium of academic institutions that will work together to transform the discipline of clinical and translational research. |

As stated on their website, "The IECRN seeks to enhance the efficiency and productivity of clinical research, by compiling and sharing knowledge of practices and approaches in place across clinical research networks around the USA." |

caBIG, the Cancer Biomededical Infomratics Grid , is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) funded initiative that leverages the combined strength and expertise of researchers, cancer centers, and others in the cancer community and stakeholder organizations to provide a unifying information infrastructure for connecting data, research tools, scientists, physicians and patients.
